Environmental Liaison Committee and Small Environmental Projects Fund

Bland Shire Council in partnership with the Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative and Riverina Local Land Services have established an Environmental Liaison Committee (ELC).

The ELC has been established as a means of re-engaging with community groups who are undertaking or would like to undertake environmental projects within the Shire.

The ELC aims to assist in bringing the community together to discuss and address local environmental concerns and project ideas.

A Small Environmental Projects Fund has also been implemented in conjunction with the Environmental Liaison Committee.

Funding for the Small Environmental Projects Fund has been provided by Riverina Local Land Service via their Community Grants Program.

The Small Environmental Projects fund exists to provide kick-start/seed funding to encourage you to undertake projects/works that improve, enhance or protect the environment or that educate the wider community about natural resource management issues or projects. Grants of up to $1000 will be devolved by Bland Shire Council via the ELC.

Anyone is able to attend meetings of the Environmental Liaison Committee. Please refer to the funding guidelines for eligibility details. If you have a project that you are would like to discuss or are unsure of its eligibility, please contact your Local Landcare Coordinator or Councils Environmental Services Department.
