The Queen's Baton Relay in West Wyalong

The Queen's Baton Relay is coming to West Wyalong on its way to the Gold Coast for the 2018 Commonwelth Games opening ceremony.

The baton will depart from McCann Park, West Wyalong at 10.30am and travel along Main Street and Neeld Street through to the Neeld Street-Oak Street intersection just before Goldfields Way.

To celebrate the relay (and the last day of school holidays) Council is hosting a community pool party at Holland Park Pool between 11.30am and 4pm.

Entry is free while there is also free access to the waterslide and inflatable.

Many of the batonbearers will be in attendance.

The event will also feature Commonwealth Games themed entertainment from comedian Sean Murphy as Games Boy 18 (pictured).
