What restrictions are there in the use of the unit and the Village facilities?

There are restrictions on a resident in the use of the unit and the Village facilities with regard to the following:

Having someone else live with a resident? 

Residents are not permitted to sublet or share tenancy of the unit. Couples who enter the Village would choose to occupy two units in a co-joining fashion. Residents are not permitted to share one unit on a permanent basis. 

Having visitors, including overnight or short stay guests?

Visiting hours are unrestricted to the Village but regard should be made to the privacy and comfort of other residents.  Residents may accommodate an overnight or short stay guest after informing management so that necessary arrangements may be made eg. provision of folding bed, extra linen etc. Visitors are welcome to share a meal with the resident with a little prior notice, a fee is payable to the Hostel Manager. Should a room be available such guests may use this room for an overnight stay, a fee is payable for this service.

Car parking?

Limited covered car parking is available to residents, residents wishing to make use of this should discuss this first with the Hostel Manager. Visitor parking is available in the front of the village.

Pets?

Residents shall not keep pets without the permission of the Director of Nursing. Dogs and cats are not allowed.

Other restrictions?

Residents are required to abide by the Waratah Retirement Village conditions of residence as described on page 3 and 4 in the Application form.
