If a resident leaves for any reason, for how long do any of the following continue?

Occupancy charges?

Residents must give a maximum of 4 weeks notice when wishing to terminate residence.  Occupancy charges are payable until discharge of the resident takes place. Fees are determined and increased in line with CPI increases.  Short term absences, eg. holidays and hospital, are acceptable with a refund entitlement payable after an absence of more than one week up to a maximum of 3 weeks currently set at $35 per week.

Other charges?

  • Residents may be liable to make an entry contribution. Information is provided individually to prospective residents. A series of pamphlets are available from the Department of Health & Aging providing general information in relation to fees and charges as well as providing further options for aged care. See link below.

  • Residents are liable for any damage caused to units of common areas other than reasonable "wear and tear" to fixtures and fittings.
