Mr Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background whose frequent performances take him all over the world. A graduate of the famous Juilliard School in New York, he is one of the most-travelled of all concert pianists, having played concerts in over 95 countries.

In addition to performances in capital cities and important musical centres, he often plays in places away from the musical mainstream, bringing the world and pleasure of classcal music to audiences which seldom experience this type of music in live performance.

Born in New York into a prominent Ukrainian musical family, Roman Rudnytsky started the study of piano at age four and gave his first recital at age seven. He is prizewinner of ten piano competitions---both national and international.

He has been a soloist with many orchestras around the world, playing with them over 45 different works for piano and orchestra. Since 1984 he has played many concerts and conducted masterclasses through US Embassies in over 35 countries, many with repeat visits.

His 2012 performances included concerts on Pacific islands of Micronesia, New Zealand, Brunei, Honduras, Colombia, northern Mexico, the country of Georgia, Britain, the islands of Barbados and Antigua, and on three cruise ships. He has done over 45 cruises as the classical pianist on board.

Roman Rudnytsky has been coming to Australia for concert tours every two years since 1979 and has played more concerts here than in any other overseas country - over 500 concerts in all. He has performed in every state and in the Northern Territory, ranging from the Sydney Opera House to small country and outback towns.

His much anticipated West Wyalong performance will commence at 7pm.
