NBN Information sessions in West Wyalong

Wednesday, April 24

West Wyalong S&C Club

11am and 6pm

Exploring the future with high speed broadband access will be the focus of information sessions being hosted in West Wyalong later this month.
Regional Development Australia, Riverina and Murray, have combined to present the NBN Readiness Project, which is aimed at educating the community about the opportunities for regional Australia which will come with access to high speed broadband services. The project is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Regional Australia, Local Government, Arts and Sport.
The sessions will touch on the National Broadband Network itself, the role of NBN Co and retailers, but the main focus will be to educate about the benefits high speed broadband will bring to areas such as education, health, business, tourism, arts, agriculture, local government, households and the community.
Whether accessing high speed broadband via Fibre, Fixed Wireless or Satellite technology, the way people living in regional Australia work, play and interact with technology will be changed forever...Skype to stay in touch with family overseas, have your health monitored from the comfort of your home, avoid the commute and work successfully from home, download and watch movies and TV from the internet.
Accessing speeds of up to 100 megabits per second (via fibre) or 25Mbps (via fixed wireless and satellite), Bland Shire residents can start to explore endless possibilities for teleworking, accessing health services remotely, tapping into educational institutions in far-off locations, and enjoying more in-home entertainment and information services.

To learn more about the opportunities you can gain from high speed broadband, Regional Development Australia invites you to attend one of two information sessions
