Summer Reading Club

Bland Shire Library invites children aged 5 – 16 and their families to join in the adventure by participating in Summer Reading Club activities being delivered from December 2014 to February 2015.

The Summer Reading Club is a free online and in-library holiday program, run in partnership with State Library of Queensland and the Australian Library and Information Association.

This year, the Summer Reading Club is all about adventure! Dodging danger, outwitting archnemeses and journeying beyond your wildest imagination are at the heart of local Summer Reading Club programming.

The Summer Reading Club is delivered nationally, giving participants the opportunity to connect with children right across the country. Last year 34,576 Australian children registered for the Summer Reading Club and collectively read more than 230,000 books. Bland Shire Library’s contribution included over 100 children registering locally and reading over a thousand books collectively.

Children can join in the fun at Bland Shire Library or online at www.summerreadingclub.org.au
