Planning and Development
Through careful planning and development assessment Council manages its environment and uses its resources to create sustainable development that meets the community's expectations. At Bland Shire Council planning and development takes place primarily through the Development Services Department.
Some of the responsibilities of the Development Services Department are:
- Assessment of Development Applications
- Processing of Building and Planning Certificates
- Conducting Building Inspections
- Drainage Diagrams
- Septic Tank Approvals
- Town Planning
- Heritage
- Food and Public Health Inspections
Development Services staff are available during normal office hours to assist developers and the general community with any development related matter.
