The Bland Shire is a proud and passionate sporting community with a rich history and in recent years Council has recently made a significant investment in the Shire's sporting facilities and ovals.

Sport & Recreation Plan – Study Purpose and Scope

Bland Shire Council has developed a new Sport and Recreation Plan to help guide the future of local sporting and recreational facilities across our communities. This plan assesses current needs and identify opportunities to improve the way residents access and enjoy sport, recreation and active living within the Shire.

The study considers a wide range of facilities, including sporting venues, parks, aquatic centres and swimming pools, sport and recreational facilities within schools and specialty facilities such as lawn bowls. By understanding how these spaces are used and what our community needs now and into the future, Council can plan for upgrades, investment, and long-term improvements.

Community facilities that are privately owned or operated by Council are not included in this project.
