Drop a Bore

To ‘drop a bore’ in NSW, you need to notify and get approval from WaterNSW, often requiring a licensed driller and formal Bore Construction Report, especially for flowing or sensitive bores, to ensure its properly sealed. This application process is in compliance with the Water Management Act, 2000.

Storage Tanks

Rainwater tanks are a vital source of water supply in the rural areas of Australia. NSW Public Health have developed enHealth guidance you can view here(PDF, 565KB).

For developments with proposing sole water supply from storage tanks, instead of the reticulated water system supplied by Goldenfields Water County Council. Developers should consult with Bland Shire Council's Development Control Plan, 2012 Section 9 Primary Production – Services ‘Water’.
