Douglas D3 Dakota Plane

Built in 1943 in Oklahoma City, the plane was later donated to the West Wyalong Lions Club, who installed it as a striking feature in Lions Park. It underwent a full restoration in 2025, including site upgrades, concrete works, paint stripping, re-coating, structural repairs and new lighting. Today, the aircraft stands as an iconic welcome and farewell to the town of West Wyalong.
