It Takes A Village ITAV

Bland Shire It Takes A Village (ITAV) is a Targeted Earlier Intervention Program (TEI) offered by Bland Shire Council and funded by the Department of Communities and Justice.

The vision for the program is for families to access support early in the lives of their children and young people. Our aim is to reach out to members of local communities within the Bland Shire through workshops, playgroups, material aid and events, while providing information on child development and relevant family topics.

What do we Offer?

  • Playgroups – rotating through Tallimba School/Ungarie CWA Hall and Bland Shire Children Services Unit (CSU) on Monday mornings.
  • Parenting Programs – held at Bland Shire CSU at various times throughout the year.
  • Material Aid (Educational packs) - request an educational pack for your child.
  • Biennial event – a community event held once every two years   
  • ITAV Facebook page: Bland Shire It Takes A Village – ITAV; for early childhood advice and information on local community and CSU events and services.
  • Bland Shire Toy library - an educational and budget friendly resource for your children. See our toys online here
