ANIMAL CONTROL TRAINEE
TEMPORARY, 24 MONTHS
The Opportunity
As an Animal Control Trainee, you will learn to operate and maintain Council’s Companion Animal Pound. Working under an experienced Ranger you will develop skills in responding to enquiries, maintaining documentation and data bases as well as safe animal handling.
This role offers on the job training and the chance to complete a nationally recognised qualification while contributing to vital public services.
What we are looking for in you
- A keen interest in animal care
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Ability to work in a physically active role, both indoors and outdoors
- A current driver’s licence
- WHS Construction Induction (White) Card or willingness to obtain
- No previous experience is required – we value a positive attitude and a strong commitment to building a meaningful career
