Community Reference Group

The Community Reference Group was established in 2017 to seek direct input from the community into the decision making process.

The reference group replaces the former Advisory Committees and covers a wide range of topics across all areas of Council from heritage to culture and tourism.

The reference group meets bi-monthly in an informal forum type format which is open to all interested members of the community.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every second month at the Bland Shire Council Chambers commencing at 6.30pm.

The forums are chaired by Bland Shire Mayor, Brian Monaghan and agenda items generated from members of the public, Councillors and Council staff.

Any recommendations arising from the forums will be submitted to Council for formal consideration.

Members of the community are invited to submit agenda items to Council via email to council@blandshire.nsw.gov.au or in writing to The General Manager PO Box 21, West Wyalong, NSW, 2671.

The agenda will be published in the West Wyalong Advocate on the Friday before each meeting and on Council’s website at www.blandshire.nsw.gov.au
